I am an experience designer and storyteller based out of San Diego, California.
Since I was a kid, I've always been passionate about creating worlds and telling stories. In the second grade, I was teaching my classmates how to build theme park rides out of paper mache. In fourth, I learned to build a website and create animated shorts for a movie my friends and I were hoping to film. I built my first board game at age 12 and wrote my first book at 14.
My analytical mindset (from my father, an accountant) and creative leanings (my mother, a lifelong teacher) have taken me in various directions. I've built my career in market research for Edelman, developing insightful and highly visual ways to communicate data-driven findings for household names such as Xbox, Pepsi, LEGO, and Delta Air Lines. I've also freelanced as an escape room designer, aiding a local business in delivering enjoyable experiences fueled by game design principles and player feedback.
I feel most inspired when working on projects that speak to both the left side of my brain and my right. And, bonus points when that work is directly impacting and improving how real people engage with everyday products and experiences.
